Technip has been awarded by Stone Energy 听Corporation both a flexible pipe supply contract and an installation contract for 听the Amethyst field, located on Mississippi Canyon 26, in the Gulf of Mexico.
The first contract includes the detailed 听engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing of a 5-inch production 听static riser (almost 9 kilometers long) as well as all associated hardware.
The second award covers the installation 听of the pipe as a tieback to the Pompano fixed platform, in approximately 395 听meters of water depth.
Technip鈥檚 operating center in Houston, 听Texas, USA, will manage the project which is scheduled to be completed during 听the second half of 2015.
The Group will leverage its unique 听vertical position in the subsea business. The flexible pipe will be manufactured at the Group鈥檚 Asiaflex 听Products plant located in Tanjung Langsat, Malaysia. It will be installed using 听the Deep Blue, Technip鈥檚 deepwater pipelay vessel.
